Cute Easter Sweet Treat Ideas

Spring is one of my favourite seasons as I love all of the pretty pink cherry blossom, baby lambs and soft spring weather but I would be totally lying if I didn't admit that the Easter baking is one of my favourite things. The shops are always full of lots of yummy chocolate treats at this time of the year such as Mini Eggs, Milkybar Eggs and Malteaster Bunnies so it's only right that you treat yourself to some and bake some little goodies. I thought I would pop together a little blog post with some cute Easter baking and sweet treat ideas with a girly pink spin, of course...

Easter Hot Chocolate With Bunny And Chick Marshmallows
My first little treat is just a simple one that you can whip up in a couple of minutes and it's perfect for a cold or rainy afternoon as I often find that we can get some quite miserable weather around Easter. I just make my hot chocolates with some Cadbury's hot chocolate powder and some milk and then I added these adorable little pink bunny and lemon chick marshmallows from Home Bargains and some whipped cream. There are loads of options for this as I sometimes make a white hot chocolate for a little change and you could add Mini Eggs, crushed Creme Eggs or little Easter sprinkles too!

Mini Egg, Milk And White Chocolate Cookies
I've made these cookies for the past couple of years around Easter and they are originally a Tanya Burr recipe but I've tweaked them a little to add in some Mini Eggs which just make them even more chocolatey. They are so easy and quick to make as you can just use one large pink mixing bowl and they bake really quickly too so they are perfect for last minute Easter gatherings (and I always think it's lovely to smell homemade cookies baking in the oven...).

Ingredients
♡ 200g butter
♡ 300g caster sugar
♡ 1 large egg
♡ 325g self-raising flour
♡ 200g white chocolate
♡ 200g milk chocolate
♡ 160g Mini Eggs

Method
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Place the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl and beat until smooth. Crack the egg and mix in well. Add the flour gradually and mix until everything is combined. In a separate bowl, break up the milk and white chocolate into small chunks and crush the Mini Eggs. Add them all into the mixture and combine until you have a chunky dough consistency. Roll the mixture into small balls and place onto a baking tray but ensure that you leave enough space between them as they can be quite large cookies. Bake for 12 minutes and then remove from the oven. They will still be quite doughy at this point but they will harden up as they cool. Enjoy them fresh from the oven with a cup of tea or add some vanilla ice cream and sprinkles to make them into a dessert!

Easter Milkshakes
Another quick and easy little treat is Easter milkshakes which would also be perfect for any little ones to enjoy too. You could make your own milkshakes but I just bought some pink strawberry and vanilla ones and popped them into these adorable little milk glass bottles. I decided to make a vanilla one and top it with whipped cream and Mini Eggs and I also made a pink one and finished it with whipped cream and an adorable little bunny straw with a pink bow. I also added a little pink satin bow and a cute cherry blossom to make the perfect girly finishing touch.

Cottontail Bunny Cocktail
I know that I called this one a cocktail but it is actually just some vanilla milkshake that I decided to pop into this pretty little glass. I did actually find a recipe on Pinterest for cottontail martinis which inspired me for this drink but I didn't fancy the coconut and pineapple as I felt like it was more of a summer cocktail. I just love decorating drinks to make them look even prettier so I added a little fluffy pink pom pom, some silver glitter from Unicorn Shimmer Co and this adorable little bunny straw complete with pink flowers and a ribbon.

White Chocolate Mini Egg Easter Rocky Road
I had spotted this recipe from Jane's Patisserie a little while ago and I couldn't wait to make it as it uses three of my favourite things ~ white chocolate, Mini Eggs and marshmallows. This one is really easy to make and you could also vary it by using milk chocolate and mixing up your Easter chocolate goodies such as using Creme Eggs or Milkybar Eggs and I also decided to finish mine off with some delicate pink and white sugar flowers. I think this is the perfect sweet treat to make if you're having an Easter party or just to enjoy with a cup of tea in the garden. They would also make a cute little gift idea  as I wrapped mine up with some cellophane and accessorised them with pink and lemon bows!

Ingredients
♡ 400g milk or dark chocolate
♡ 125g golden syrup
♡ 125g unsalted butter
♡ 100g mini marshmallows
♡ 150g digestive biscuits
♡ 160g Mini Eggs
♡ 250g white chocolate

Method
Line an 8'' square tin with greaseproof paper and leave to the side. In a large bowl, melt the milk or dark chocolate, golden syrup and butter over a low heat and stir until smooth. Add in the marshmallows, chopped digestive biscuits and Mini Eggs. Fold together until all of the ingredients are well combined, pour into the tin and spread until the mixture is even. Melt the white chocolate, pour over the top of the rocky road and decorate with sugar flowers or Easter chocolates. Pop into the fridge to chill for around 30 minutes, cut into bite size chunks and enjoy!

Pink Cherry Blossom Cocktail
I also cheated slightly with this one and called it a cocktail when I actually only used one ingredient but I just love making pretty drinks and snacks so let's ignore that! I used some of the Bailey's Strawberries And Cream liqueur which is a soft milkshake pink colour and tastes deliciously sweet and creamy but I'm not sure if it's still available as it was a limited edition drink. Some alternatives would be pink gin or prosecco mixed with a strawberry or candyfloss syrup for a girly cocktail. I added some little pink petals for a decorative finish but you also pop in some pink or silver glitter from Unicorn Shimmer Co or some shimmering rose gold dust from Pop A Ball!

Vanilla Mini Egg Cupcakes
My last Easter sweet treat idea is these little Mini Egg vanilla cupcakes which are so simple yet so effective using It's Little Lauren's recipe. I always love making cupcakes when I get the chance and there's so many options for chocolatey Easter toppings so you could easily switch up the Mini Eggs for Creme Eggs, Galaxy Golden Eggs, Malteaster Bunnies or Milkybar Eggs. If you have a little more time to spare and are feeling creative, you could also make some bunnies, chicks, sugar paste flowers and pastel patterned Easter eggs out of fondant too!

Ingredients for the cupcakes (makes 6)
♡ 115g caster sugar
♡ 115g butter
♡ 115g self-raising flour
♡ 1 tsp baking powder
♡ 2 eggs

Ingredients for the buttercream
♡ 145g butter
♡ 205g icing sugar, sifted

Method
Preheat the oven to 170°C. To make the cupcakes, place all of the ingredients into a mixing bowl and beat together until they are well combined. Place even amounts of the mixture into six cupcake cases. Bake for around 20-25 minutes and cool on a wire tray. To make the buttercream icing, whisk the butter for 5-10 minutes so that it's fluffy and then sift the icing sugar into the same bowl. Combine the two together for a further 5 minutes. Pipe the buttercream icing onto your cupcakes using your favourite nozzle and finish with some Mini Eggs and some sugar flowers.

What do you think of my Easter sweet treat ideas? I'd love to see if you try any of them out!

Gifts By Little Miss Spring Bath Goodies

I was having a little browse on the Gifts By Little Miss website as I had been following them on Instagram for a while and I thought that some of their bath goodies looked adorable! I decided to place a little order with some of their new spring items and a couple of their regular ones and I loved them all so much that I thought I'd pop up a little blog post all about them...

Hello Flower Bath Bomb
The first item that caught my eye is this lovely little pink one called Hello Flower. I'm not sure if this one was actually a Mother's Day product but I thought that it would be lovely for over the spring season. It's a deep candy pink shade with a swirl of buttercream in the centre and it's topped with an adorable sugar flower and pink and yellow sprinkles. This one is also enriched with creamy cocoa butter so it will be perfect for a softening bath soak!

Wish Upon A Star Bath Fizzy
I just love how pretty and pink this little Wish Upon A Star bath bomb is! Everything comes all wrapped up in pretty cellophane and tied with ribbon bows and I always think these cute little touches are so lovely and make gifting from homemade brands much more personal. This one has a little sprinkling of silver stars and glitter on the top and it says that it also releases a little wish bracelet into your pink sparkly bubble bath!

Unicorn Bath Fizzy
Anyone who knows me will tell you how much I love unicorns so I obviously had to add this little one to my basket! It's shaped like a little girly pink unicorn and is sprinkled in silvery glitter with a gorgeous sweet strawberry scent. This is the only one that I've tried out so far and it gave me the loveliest candy pink sugary sweet bubble bath. I think I might need to buy another one!

Easter Bunny Bath Bomb
I couldn't resist one of these lovely little Easter Bunny bath bombs as anything with a fluffy bunny on it just wins my heart! It's a pretty pale green colour with a swirl of buttercream, a dainty little bunny with pink ears and some sprinkles. This one has a fresh floral fragrance that smells like a spring garden and I think it would make the perfect little Easter treat if you didn't want to gift someone chocolate!

Duckie Bath Fizzy
I also purchased this lovely little lemon Duckie bath fizzy as I thought it was perfect for the spring season! It's got a fine dusting of silver glitter over the top of it and it has a fresh apple and sweet pea fragrance. This one also comes packaged in a little cellophane gift bag tied up with a pastel lemon ribbon!

Box Of Egg Bath Fizzies
The last item that I picked up is this adorable little egg carton box which is filled with pretty pastel egg-shaped bath bombs. You can choose your colour of box so obviously I went with pink and the little fizzers all have yummy scents including raspberry, parma violet, apple, blackberry, pineapple and mango. I can't wait to use these and I imagine that they will turn your bath water the same colour that they look.

Have you tried anything from Gifts By Little Miss?

Pretty Pastel Things To Do Over The Spring Season

As I wrote one of these little posts over the festive season with some girly ideas, I thought it'd be lovely to pop together one for the spring time. I love all of the cherry blossom, Mini Eggs, pretty flowers, pastel colours and cute easter baking so I hope this gives you a few cute little ideas...

Admire The Beautiful Pink And White Cherry Blossom
One of my most favourite things about the spring time is when all of the beautiful cherry blossom trees start to bloom. I love the soft candy pink shades and the contrast of the white and I think that when the little petals start to fall off it looks like someone has sprinkled pretty pastel confetti. I can't wait to snap a few photos of some of the lovely trees but my one wish is that they lasted a little bit longer!

Treat Yourself To A Pretty Bunch Of Peonies
I get really excited when peony season comes around as they are one of my favourite flowers but they only last for a very short season sadly. Last year, I treated myself to some gorgeous soft pink ones from M&S and I think they look like little scoops of strawberry ice cream when they are closed. I can't wait to treat myself to another bunch this year!

Buy Your Favourite Easter Egg
I'm not going to lie, one of the best things about the spring season is all of the yummy chocolates that appear in the shops including Easter eggs and I don't think there's a rule that says you can't buy yourself an Easter egg? One of my favourites is the Lindt Strawberries & Cream egg which has a white chocolate shell and comes with little pink mini strawberries and cream balls. I also spotted the prettiest little Moonbeam The Unicorn one in M&S which has a white chocolate shell adorned with a little pink chocolate unicorn horn, pink blushing cheeks and little lashes!

Splurge On Some New Spring Candles
Even though the weather is slightly warmer and lighter, I still love to burn my candles and there's nothing nicer than making your living room smell like a fresh spring garden or sugary sweet Easter treats as well as making it really cosy in the evenings. Every spring time, I eagerly anticipate the arrival of the limited edition Yankee Candles as I just love all of their sweet spring scents! Earlier in January, I splurged on two of their candles from the Sunday Brunch collection called Blush Bouquet and Sweet Morning Rose which smell sugary sweet yet floral at the same time. I also couldn't resist a jar of Cherry Blossom which is the prettiest pink and White Chocolate Bunnies which smells delicious! I was really pleased that I also managed to find one of the Bunny Cake candles in an outlet shop as it was one of my favourites last year.

Have A Cosy Afternoon In Eating Easter Goodies
As I'm writing this little blog post, it's actually really cold and miserable weather outside which is making me love putting together spring content even more! One of my favourite things to do on a rainy day in the spring is to have a cosy little afternoon in with my candles burning, a fluffy pink pom pom blanket and some yummy Easter goodies. Some of my favourites are Mini Eggs, Milkybar white chocolate eggs or little chocolate Mini Egg nest cakes.

Make An Easter Hot Chocolate With Bunny And Chick Marshmallows
Another cute little idea for a rainy afternoon is to make an indulgent Easter hot chocolate in your favourite mug. I can pretty much find an excuse to make hot chocolates all year round but I came across the cutest little pastel bunny and chick marshmallows in Home Bargains which I thought would be perfect and you can add some cream and Easter sprinkles! Putting your hot chocolate in a lovely little mug always makes it taste so much better too so I picked up a sweet little lamb mug in Home Bargains which I think is adorable! I also have a pretty little bunny mug from Sass & Belle and I treated myself to the Bambi mug from the Disney Magical Moments collection as I thought it was so fitting for the spring season!

Bake Some Sweet Easter Treats
One of my favourite things about Easter is all of the cute baking ideas and I can't wait to make a few sweet little treats! Last year, I made some adorable little vanilla cupcakes with some fondant bunnies with pink bows, Easter chicks, pretty spring flowers, little egg baskets and adorable pastel Easter eggs with dainty patterns. If you fancy going for something simpler, you could also try some milk chocolate cornflake nests or white chocolate Mini Egg rocky road.

Visit The Park To See Some Baby Ducks
On a lovely spring day, there is nothing nicer than going for a little walk around your favourite park in the sunshine. I love to see all of the beautiful spring flowers like daffodils, colourful tulips and cherry blossom and all of the little baby ducks and fluffy white swans in the pond or little lambs in the fields. If the weather is a little warmer, you could also take a fluffy pink blanket and enjoy a girly picnic with sandwiches, strawberries and fondant fancies.

Buy Some Pretty Spring Daffodils
As well as loving peonies for the spring season, I don't think there's anything nicer than a sweet bunch of lemon daffodils to brighten up a room. I bought myself a lovely little bunch from the flower market and popped them in my sweet little white love heart jug and added a little pink satin bow to make them even more girly!

Make An Easter Wreath With Pastel Eggs And A Satin Bow
I've always really fancied making a little Easter wreath to hang on my front door so I've bought a little straw wreath to decorate! I'm planning on using lots of little chicks, fluffy bunnies, lambs and a selection of pastel patterned Easter eggs to make it look pretty and tying it all up with a lovely pink satin ribbon bow. Another little idea would be to use fresh spring flowers or you could decorate a little Easter basket or bonnet!

Have A Little Easter Egg Hunt
Even if you don't have any little ones around, I still think it's really fun to have a little Easter egg hunt and pretend that the Easter Bunny has visited! If it's a sunny day, you could decorate your garden with some pastel Easter signs, cute bunting and hide some little eggs. You could also decorate your house if it's rainy and take a little Easter basket around to collect all of your sweet treats. And the best part? You can sit and scoff all of your yummy chocolates later!

Splurge On Some New Pastel Clothes To Update Your Spring Wardrobe
Spring is one of my favourite seasons for fashion as all of the clothes are so much lighter and prettier with pastel colours, ruffles, lace and dainty dresses. I've treated myself to a few lovely little bits recently and I'm planning on popping together a little spring outfit wishlist blog post soon if that is something you would be interested in.

Make Some Pretty Spring Drinks
My last little idea for the spring season is to make some pretty pink and girly drinks. I made a pink cherry blossom cocktail over the weekend with some Bailey's Strawberries & Cream Liqueur or you could try a Cottontail Martini and accessorize it with a sweet little bunny. For another little sweet treat, you could also make Easter milkshakes and I can't wait to make a Mini Egg one!

I hope that this has given you some sweet little ideas for the new season! What do you like to do over the spring season?
