What I Got Treated To On Christmas Day

Happy New Year lovelies! I hope that you all had a magical Christmas and New Year filled with pink champagne, sparkles and cosy scented candles. I always really enjoy reading these ‘What I Got For Christmas’ blog posts as it’s so nice to see what everyone else got treated to and it’s perfect for gift ideas too. I was totally spoilt with some gorgeous pink pieces from my wishlist this year so I hope that you enjoy reading about them...

Ted Baker Pink Cala Bow Bag
My husband spoilt me with my dream handbag! I’d been wanting to own a Ted Baker handbag for a little while now and although I’d seen lots of beautiful ones, I fell head over heels for this pretty little bow tote bag. I actually purchased it on Black Friday whilst Ted Baker were having a sneaky little discount so I knew that I was getting this but I was still so excited to unwrap it on Christmas morning. It’s made from a gorgeous blush pink soft grain leather and has the loveliest rose gold hardware details and a dainty little bow on the front. It’s quite small compared to some of my other handbags but I’ll be keeping this one for special girly occasions.

Ugg Poppy Seashell Pink Boots
My mum and dad treated me to this beautiful pair of pale pink Ugg boots which just look as if they were made for me! I’d had them on my wishlist for a little while now and I was so pleased to receive them for Christmas as I was in need of a new pair of Uggs. I get so much wear out of them all year round and these ones are a very soft sugary pink complete with a delicate poppy petal detail which is so pretty and girly. Inside, they have the fluffiest candyfloss pink lining and I can’t wait to wear them paired with some pastel knitwear, fluffy scarves and cute bobble hats!

Disney Pink Glitter Princess Castle Tumbler
Everything about Disney is so princessy and magical so when I spotted this sparkly pink coffee cup peeking out of my stocking, I was a little excited. I love drinking coffee and I’ve owned a few different reusable cups before but I’ve always found that most of them are quite flimsy and they leak really easily too. I’m really excited to use this one as it’s covered in pink sparkly glitter that really shimmers when it catches the light and has ‘if you need me, I’ll be in my castle’ written in a cute font on the front with a dainty illustration of Cinderella’s castle. I think it will be perfect for having my cappuccinos in if I’m out shopping or for a snowy winter walk!

Pink Marshmallow Hot Chocolate Set
In the winter time, I become totally obsessed with drinking hot chocolates so I was really pleased when I received this sweet little set. The mug is a gorgeous pale pink colour with a pretty white love heart print and it’s actually a really large size so that you can make a massive indulgent hot chocolate. It comes complete with a little sachet of hot chocolate and a packet of mini white marshmallows so I’m looking forward to drinking this on a cold snowy day!

Pink Hot Chocolate Spoons Set
I also got the matching Hot Chocolate Spoons set which I thought was so cute! The packaging is adorable with the little mini white snowflakes and pink love hearts and it has a sweet little pink satin bow. It comes with four hot chocolate spoons with mini marshmallows in milk, mint, orange and caramel flavours and I can’t wait to try them out!

Too Faced Sugar Cookie Palette
I’d had my eye on this lovely little limited edition palette from Too Faced as I thought the packaging was sweet and the shades looked lovely, but it never seemed to be in stock anywhere so I was really excited to unwrap it. It’s a lovely cream palette decorated with pastel pink and soft brown sugar cookies covered in sprinkles and it has a sugary sweet scent which smells like fresh cookies straight out of the oven. The little palette contains eight lovely neutral shades with a pop of soft pink and I love the look of ‘Nom Nom’ which is a silvery iridescent glitter, ‘Butter & Love’ which is a lovely soft cream and ‘Cookie Pusher’ which is a beautiful mauve pink with a hint of glitter. I was really impressed at how creamy and pigmented the shades are and I’m looking forward to using this little one!

Too Faced Diamond Light Highlighter
Another makeup item that I received is this stunning pink Diamond Highlighter from Too Faced that has been on my wishlist for ages! The packaging is beautiful and is made to look like a pretty pink engagement ring box complete with delicate gold detailing and a black satin lining on the inside. The highlighter itself is infused with real crushed diamond powder and light reflecting pearls which makes it so special and unique. It’s a gorgeous soft creamy vanilla pearl shade with swirls of pink, blue and champagne which gives a subtle sparkly effect, just like a real diamond!

SL Miss Glam Princess Vibes Makeup Bag
I’ve been wanting to treat myself to something from SL Miss Glam Beauty for ages as I’m obsessed with her girly pink YouTube channel. She is just the sweetest and has two beautiful twin baby girls and loves all things rainbowy, pink and sprinkled with unicorn magic and glitter. I was so excited when I found this gorgeous Princess Vibes makeup bag under my Christmas tree that I may have squealed slightly! It’s the perfect shade of pale pink and has ‘princess vibes’ written across it in a gold script font complete with little love hearts. I’m so impressed with the quality and I’m planning on using it as my everyday makeup bag to keep on top of my dressing table as it’s too pretty to hide away. I’d love to collect some of her makeup brush books next and the one I have my eye on is the Pink Princess set!

The White Company White Christmas Candle
I mentioned this candle in my Pink Christmas Eve Prettiness blog post as I actually bought it when I took a little festive trip to Edinburgh so it wasn’t actually a surprise but my husband popped it away so that I could open it properly on Christmas Day. I love The White Company candles as they always smell beautiful and burn for so long. One of my favourites for this time of the year is Winter which has more of a spicy cinnamon scent whereas this White Christmas one is much fresher with hints of sweet almond blossom, neroli and honeysuckle. I also adore the frosted silver sparkly jar that it comes in which I’m planning on using as decor once I’ve burned the candle!

Kikki K Pale Pink Planner
One of my favourite gifts that I received this year is this beautiful soft pale pink leather planner from Kikki K as it’s a New Year’s resolution of mine to become a little more organised. It’s filled with milkshake pink dividers with little sections for ‘to do’, ‘calendar’ and even a little ‘notes’ sticky pad. I’ve ordered some pretty weekly planner inserts, some adorable paper clips and also some cute stickers so if you would be interested in seeing some of these items, please do let me know!

Silver Glittery Prosecco Notebook
The last little item that I have to show you is this sweet silver and white sparkly notebook. I’m not sure where it’s from as there doesn’t seem to be a brand on it but it’s the perfect A5 size which I’m planning on using for notes for my blog post planning. It says ‘I’ll be there in a prosecco!’ which is such a cute quote and it’s adorned in little silver sparkles which makes it so princessy!

What gifts were you spoilt with on Christmas Day? I’d love to see!

Pink Christmas Eve Prettiness | A Festive Weekend In Edinburgh

Happy Christmas Eve lovelies! I can’t believe that Christmas is tomorrow, I feel like it’s crept up so quickly and I’m getting ridiculously excited now. I love Christmas Eve as I feel like it’s really magical and almost as if there is glitter in the air. I went for a little festive trip to Edinburgh this week so I thought it would be nice to share some of my photos for my last little festive post!

We visited the Harvey Nichols Chocolate Lounge for some pink champagne and candyfloss cocktails which were the yummiest and I also had a delicious melted chocolate s’mores brownie dessert with gooey marshmallows which was just heavenly! I found this beautiful unicorn stocking from Sass & Belle which is a soft blush pink colour and has a sparkly tinsel mane and little glittery snowflakes, so perfect!

After that, we took a little wander into some of the pretty shops along Princes Street and George Street to look at all of their lovely Christmassy things. I particularly loved The White Company as their Christmas decorations are always so beautiful and everything is gift wrapped with dainty black bows. Their Baby Pink Cashmere Socks are definitely on my Christmas wishlist as they look so cosy and feel so soft and I decided to treat myself to their White Christmas scented candle which smells of sweet almond blossom, neroli and honeysuckle and comes in the prettiest sparkly silver jar.

You can’t visit Edinburgh around Christmas time and not have a little visit to their popular Christmas markets. I came across the loveliest little Candy Clouds stall which sold fluffy pink cotton candy, popcorn, marshmallows and little rainbow unicorn lollipops made out of rock which I obviously had to buy! All of the stalls are so quaint and special and we ate yummy Nutella crepes with mini marshmallows and drank Bailey’s hot chocolates under the twinkly fairylights.

We stayed at The Tigerlily Hotel which is a gorgeous boutique hotel situated on George Street. It has beautiful luxurious decor and the prettiest pink cocktail bar. We had a lovely festive dinner and enjoyed some candy cane gin and vanilla and passionfruit cocktails with prosecco!

I also took the opportunity to visit the Hotel Chocolat café whilst I was having a little browse as their hot chocolates looked irresistible! I had a hazelnut hot chocolate complete with chocolate whipped cream and a delicate piece of dark chocolate and it was delicious.

Now, it’s time to get finished wrapping the last of my presents with some pretty snowflake and unicorn glittery pink paper, bake some sugar cookies and get curled up on the sofa with a Bailey’s hot chocolate and watch some Christmas movies. I hope that you all have a magical day tomorrow filled with sugary sweet treats, pretty gifts and cosy times with all of your loved ones.

Have a lovely Christmas!

Cosy Winter Pieces For An Enchanting And Sparkly Season

Although autumn is my favourite season, I actually really love winter time too as I adore all of the twinkly fairylights, cosy pink scarves and gloves, cute bobble hats, apple crumbles with custard and snowy woodland walks with a hazelnut latte topped with cream so I thought it would be nice to put together a little blog post with some of my favourite girly essentials for a cosy and sparkly season...

Yankee Candle Snowflake Cookie Candle
I love to burn candles all year round but I do find that during winter, a pretty candle can really cheer up a dull room and make it seem all cosy and sparkly. I also love getting snuggled up in the living room with a few scented tealights burning and reading a couple of chapters of my book so I had to include a Yankee Candle in this little blog post. I like most of their wintery and Christmas scents but my favourite is definitely this Snowflake Cookie one. It’s a pale pastel pink colour with a lovely Christmas illustration on the front and it has a sugary sweet icing scent. I would also recommend Snow In Love if you like fresh, icy scents or Christmas Cookie if you like sweet bakery yumminess!

Pink Swan Hat
Swans seem to be everywhere at the moment which I’m very pleased about as I think they look so elegant and dreamy with their fluffy white feathers so when I noticed this hat on Carly’s Instagram, I headed straight over to the Asda website and purchased it straightaway. Even though it’s actually from the children’s section (ssssh!), it surprisingly fits me really well and feels really soft and cosy. It’s a beautiful soft wintery pink shade with a ribbed texture at the bottom and a fluffy white pom pom on the top but my favourite part has to be the dainty swan complete with false lashes, pink blush cheeks and a gold sparkly princess crown!

Laura Ashley Pink Pom Pom Blanket
For me, winter time is all about snuggling up under cosy blankets with a hot chocolate and Disney princess films, so when I came across this beautiful blush pink blanket on the Laura Ashley website, I needed it. I actually managed to get it slightly reduced which I was really pleased about as the quality is amazing and I love the cream pom poms which add such a cute touch. It looks lovely draped over my sofa for decor and adds a little touch of girliness to my living room. I also bought this gorgeous pink sparkly love heart dressing gown from Asda as a little treat and I love the silver glittery details.

Cosy Festive Drinks
One of the things that I really love most about the winter time is having the excuse to make hot chocolates and festive coffees until my heart is content! I’m always happy with a yummy hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and mini marshmallows but this year I have also been enjoying some gingerbread and toffee nut lattes too. I also love using pretty mugs and I thought this lovely pink star one was so perfect for the winter time and I completed this hot chocolate with teeny edible gold stars for a fairytale finish!

Yummy Winter Treats
The winter season is always the perfect time to try a little baking and I don’t think there’s anything nicer than coming in out of the cold to the sugary scent of cookies baking in the oven or the spicy aromas of ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon. I’d love to try making a blackberry, raspberry and apple crumble over the next few months and I also love the look of these starry snowmen and mini marshmallow gingerbread cupcakes from Sophie at The Frosting Fairy. If you can’t bake a little sweet treat in winter to cheer you up from all of the rain and cold weather, then when can you?

Katie Loxton Pink Pearl Gloves
I decided to treat myself to some pretty new gloves to make the winter season seem a little less miserable and I spotted these baby pink ones from Katie Loxton in a local gift shop. I love the dainty pearl detailing and they feel so soft and keep my hands lovely and toasty. There is also a matching cable knit hat and scarf available which I have added to my Christmas wishlist as I think wearing the whole set would make you look like a sugary pink marshmallow!

Bomb Cosmetics Cotton Candy Bath Blaster
I’ve actually had this Bath Blaster a couple of times before but I think it’s a lovely one for a cold wintery day. It smells like a mixture of yummy marshmallow, strawberry and sweet candyfloss that you would get at a fairground. It contains pure jasmine and coconut oils which also add a slight undertone of sugar and caramel so it is definitely a sweet one. I love the design as it’s simple with a pale pink outer shell, a swirl of candy pink inside and it has tiny specks of silver glitter dusted over the top.

Pretty You London Pink Cosy Slippers
I had to buy myself a new pair of cosy slippers for the winter season and I found this gorgeous pink pair from a brand called Pretty You London. They have lots of sweet designs and these slippers are so pretty but yet so comfortable at the same time and I’ve had lots of wear out of them already. These ones have fluffy white pom poms on the back and a little quote that says ‘chase your dreams’ and then a little champagne silver moon and star appliqué on the front which is so fitting for the festive season.

Dior Lip Glow Pomade
As the weather has been much colder recently, a good lip balm has become a bedside table necessity for me and I’m totally in love with this one from Dior. It smells like creamy vanilla and angel cake and leaves a slight pink tint on your lips as well as helping to keep them soft and moisturised. And the pastel pink packaging is just beautiful!

What are your favourite things about the winter season? I hope this one is full of cosy hot chocolates with gooey marshmallows, snowman-making and snuggly pink knitwear!

Pretty Festive Purchases

It probably won’t come as much of a surprise to anyone that I love all things pink and glittery, so when Christmas comes around, it’s the perfect time to treat yourself to some new girly pieces for your home. Seeing as I’ve collected a few lovely new things recently, I thought I’d pop them all together into a little Christmassy blog post!

Yankee Candle Sugar Frost Christmas Candle
I was having a little browse on the Yankee Candle website as they always have some lovely limited edition candles available for the different seasons and I immediately added this one to my basket as soon as I spotted it. It’s called Sugar Frost Christmas and is a lovely pale creamy white chocolate shade. It’s my perfect scent as it smells like a mixture of creamy vanilla, praline and sugar so it’s a yummy sweet one that reminds me of sugar cookies!

Minkleberry Kiss Pink Unicorn Bauble
I’d seen a lot of unicorn baubles on Instagram and whilst I thought most of them were cute, I kept my eye out for something a little more unusual and special. I found this lovely brand called Minkleberry Kiss who sell lots of beautiful handmade goodies and I bought this gorgeous little sparkly pink unicorn Christmas tree bauble. It’s got little eyelashes and a lovely glittery silver horn and it’s adorned with pink and white roses and a little bit of pale pink fluff which just adds the perfect girly finishing touch!

Girly Swan Decoration
I’ve actually been on the lookout for a little swan decoration for a long time and when I spotted this lovely one from a handmade brand called Tilda Loves Teddy on Etsy, it was exactly what I was looking for. Although swans aren’t the most traditional Christmas decoration, I think they’re so lovely for this time of the year as they look wintery with their white fluffy wings and are so elegant and fairytale-esque. This one is complete with dainty pink sequin flower decorations and little black eyelashes and I’ve popped her on my bedside table where she just looks dreamy!

Prosecco Christmas Print
I came up with the idea to pop a cute little Christmassy quote into a frame for one of our living room walls and when I came across Pretty Photo Prints on Instagram, I thought they were perfect! They have a lovely range of cute quotes available in lots of different calligraphy fonts and I ordered this beautiful silver one complete with wintery stars that says ‘prosecco is for life, not just for Christmas’. I bought a plain white frame from The Range to pop it into and I think I’ll change the little quote for each new season!

Pink Rose Christmas Bauble
I always love to add a couple of new baubles to my Christmas tree each year and when Freya over at Freya’s Fairytale shared this beautiful rose bauble on her Instagram stories, I splurged straightaway. This one is from a brand called Grandeur Roses who sell gorgeous everlasting roses and this bauble comes complete with a dainty little rose in it. I obviously chose the pale pink colour but it does come in a wide range of other shades too. It also came all tied up with a black ribbon bow which I have since changed to a pink satin one and even came complete with some mini chocolates too!

Katie Loxton Winter Wonderland Tealight Cracker
Katie Loxton is one of my favourite brands for cute little gift suggestions and I came across these beautiful little white and silver crackers in a gift shop near to me. I actually bought it with the intention of adding it in as another little Christmas gift but it’s so pretty that I’ve decided to keep it for myself and I’m actually using the pretty cracker packaging for decor under my Christmas tree. The Winter Wonderland scent has notes of snowberry and soft cotton which is so snuggly and cosy!

Diamanté Swan Decoration
This was a little bit of an impulse purchase but when I spotted this lovely little embellished swan in the Matalan sale, I had to buy it! It’s a beautiful plush white swan Christmas tree decoration with the loveliest fluffy sparkly wings and is adorned with pale pink and soft champagne beads. It’s quite a large decoration and is definitely one of my favourites on my tree!

What do you think of my festive purchases?

Lush Christmas Splurge

As soon as the Lush Christmas products are released, I always get a little excited and have to make an order! I think winter is the perfect time to indulge in a sparkly pink bubble bath as the weather outside is just miserable and with all of the craziness of Christmas, it’s lovely to take a little time out for yourself to have a pamper. I’ve picked out the most girly pink products from this year’s collection and I had to share them all with you...

Magic Wand | Reusable Bubble Bar
I’ve bought this bubble bar for the past couple of years around Christmas time as it is so pretty and you can actually get quite a few baths out of it too. I think this is the most princessy product out of all of the ones that I have as it looks like a little fairytale magic wand (obviously!) and is a pink star shape. All you have to do is swirl it around your bath or under the running water and it gives you lots of fluffy pink bubbles and a gorgeous sweet scent. I also love that it is sprinkled in glitter and has a little silver bell and ribbon on it which is beyond adorable!

Goddess | Bath Bomb
I don’t think this one is actually part of the Christmas collection, but as it was one of their newer items, I thought I’d give it a little try. I think it’s supposed to be inspired by Ariana Grande’s ‘God Is A Woman’ song but don’t quote me on that. It has a really heavenly scent of jasmine and sandalwood which is quite sensual and musky as well as being really relaxing. I normally tend to go for all of the sweet, sugary scents from Lush and this is something a little different for me but I love it. I can’t wait to try this one as it’s supposed to give you a beautiful lilac bubble bath sprinkled with silver lustre and has creamy cocoa butter to make your skin feel silky and smooth.

Luxury Lush Pud | Bath Bomb
This is one of my favourite products from the Lush Christmas range and I’m so glad that they’ve brought it back again this year! However, it does have a different scent this time as normally it’s quite a sweet vanilla but it now has more of a citrusy vibe which is actually really nice. My favourite thing about this bath bomb is that it makes your bath like a swirly pastel rainbow with lots of pink and shimmer. I usually save this one to use on Christmas Eve for a little pre-Christmas treat!

Cheery Christmas | Bath Bomb
Obviously, I needed this one as it’s a little candy pink hexagon with a dreamy white snowflake in the middle! Cheery Christmas has a refreshing scent of Sicilian lemon oil which smells really fresh and reminds me of a snowy winter day and making cute little snowmen. I was really surprised as I thought this would create a bubblegum pink bubble bath but it actually releases a little bit of baby blue along with the pink and blends together to create a lovely lavender shimmer that has a little hint of blackcurrant.

Snow Fairy | Jelly Bomb
Snow Fairy is one of my favourite scents from Lush but I do find that the Shower Gel can be a little bit intense and sickly for everyday use so I was really excited when I noticed that there was a bath bomb available with the same scent. I think this one was around last year too and I’ve never tried a Jelly Bomb before but I’m assuming that it will feel lovely and silky against your skin. This one will be perfect for a sparkly pink princess bubble bath as it smells like candyfloss and bubblegum and creates sweet pink waters for an enchanted soak. I love the cute white star design and it reminds me of something from a Disney fairytale!

Candy Mountain Yule Log | Bubble Bar
I’m not going to lie, I was so so disappointed to see that Lush had decided to discontinue their Candy Mountain bubble bar but I thought that I may as well give it’s replacement a little try. Although it has the same scent of sugary candyfloss and creamy vanilla, the design is just a simple pink mountain with a little white tip which looks a little sad compared to the original white polka dot and pink swirly Candy Mountain. It says if you crumble this one under the running water, you will find candyfloss sunsets and vanilla pools at the summit and then mounds of pink shimmery bubbles so I still think it will be lovely!

What are your favourite products from Lush at Christmas time?

A Pretty Christmas Gift Guide For Her

I’m really hoping that you’ll not be fed up with seeing Christmas gift guide posts as I still really wanted to create one myself! I couldn’t resist popping together some of the lovely pink and girly items that I already have and love and are ones that I think would make perfect presents if you still need to finish off your Christmas shopping...

YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick In ‘Lingerie Pink’
I received my first ever YSL lipstick as a present for my 21st birthday and even though they are expensive, I feel like Christmas is the time when you can ask for a special lipstick and not feel too guilty, right? I think they have the most luxurious packaging ever with the gold tubes and the little detailing around the centre which reminds me of a rose. My favourite shade is ‘Lingerie Pink’ which is a beautiful soft milky pink that looks perfect with natural makeup for during the day or paired with glittery eyeshadow for an alternative to red lipstick over the festive season. These lipsticks feel so creamy and soft to wear on the lips and they really feel like a special little treat to have in your makeup bag.

Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Eyeshadow Palette
All of the heart eyes are definitely needed for this gorgeous eyeshadow palette from Too Faced! The Chocolate Bon Bons palette includes sixteen matte and shimmer shades which have a mixture of beautiful neutral colours and also a pop of sugary bright pinks. They are perfect if you want something that is girly yet still subtle and you can create such a wide range of looks with this palette. I adore the baby pink packaging and when you open the palette, it is like opening a pretty pink box of love heart chocolates as the palette is infused with cocoa powder so it actually smells like chocolate too!

Sass & Belle Pink Prosecco Teapot
Late night browsing on Asos is always a dangerous one and when I came across this lovely little teapot, I added it to my basket and bought it straightaway along with a cute set of sparkly pink prosecco coasters. It’s from Sass & Belle and says ‘I’d rather be drinking prosecco, more prosecco!’ It has a little white teapot on the top which has pink and gold twinkly stars decorating it and then it sits on top of cute blush pink cups that are the perfect size for a little cup of tea. I also bought these silver sparkly cloud teabags from a little shop on Etsy as I thought they were adorable!

Essie Nail Polish in ‘Muchi Muchi’
You can never go wrong with gifting someone a little nail polish or two and it’s definitely something that I am always happy to receive. One of my favourite nail polish brands is Essie and I chose to include the shade ‘Muchi Muchi’ in this little gift guide as it’s a lovely candy pink colour which any girly girl will just adore! It’s the perfect choice as it looks dressed up enough to go out for champagne cocktails but is also lovely for cosy snuggly days on the sofa.

Pink Prosecco Chocolate Bar
I was actually looking for a little prosecco gift to pop in with a friend’s Christmas present when I found this lovely chocolate bar on eBay. It’s a gorgeous blush pink colour complete with a cute little prosecco quote and gold bubbly illustrations. I think it would also make for a sweet stocking filler and I imagine that the chocolate itself may have a prosecco flavouring.

Thomas Sabo Pearl Charm Bracelet With Pearl Bow Charm
I was lucky enough to receive this beautiful pearl charm bracelet as a birthday gift last year and I actually wear it most days as it’s so pretty. I have the traditional pearl one but the charm bracelets are also available in a sweet baby pink rose quartz which I think is lovely too. At the moment, I have this gorgeous pearl ribbon bow charm on it which is so dainty and goes perfectly with all of my everyday outfits.

Miss Etoile Lash Trinket Dish
I used this little Lash Trinket Dish from Miss Etoile as a photo prop for the Thomas Sabo charm bracelet but it’s actually so cute that I thought I’d include it as another little gift. It’s a lovely little blush pink trinket dish complete with a false lash print and I love using this one to keep my everyday bracelets on and I display it on my dressing table. I have a bit of an obsession with trinket dishes as I think they’re adorable and they would make a lovely Secret Santa gift for a girly girl too!

White Hot Chocolate Unicorn Cones
My last little gift idea is actually one that I made myself and it’s so easy to do that I thought I’d include it! I’d seen a lot of people making reindeer hot chocolate and sweetie cones, particularly at this time of the year, so I thought it would be cute to make my own unicorn version. All I did was fill up a piping bag with white hot chocolate powder, mini marshmallows and pink unicorn sprinkles, tied it up with a bow with pink curling ribbon and drew on some black unicorn eyelashes. I think they look really sweet and it’s always lovely to receive something handmade at Christmas time!

What do you think of this pretty Christmas gift guide?

Girly Things To Do Over The Festive Season

December is my favourite month of the year by far as I love all of the magic and excitement on the way up to Christmas like drinking toffee nut lattes snuggled on the sofa watching Christmas movies, visiting Christmas markets for Nutella crepes with mini marshmallows and decorating my tree with pretty pink and silver baubles. I thought I’d pop a few little girly ideas together for you to do to make your festive season even more special...

Make A Pastel Sweetie Gingerbread House
I don’t think the festive season is quite complete until I’ve decorated a little gingerbread house and whilst also looking really cute, they are also yummy to eat and you can break them up into little gingerbread sugar cookies. I usually just buy the sets from Home Bargains that are ready for you just to stick together and decorate as it’s so much easier than making one from scratch. Obviously, I had to go with a really girly theme and I decorated mine with white and pink shimmery love hearts, pearls, a pink satin bow wreath and little mini marshmallows along the top!

Go Outdoor Ice Skating Under The Twinkly Lights
Another cute little wintery activity is to go outdoor ice skating under the twinkly fairy lights. You can get dressed up like Blair Waldorf in pretty pastel knitwear and go for a little twirl with your friends or make it into a cute date night followed by hot chocolates and marshmallows to warm you up after!

Wrap Up Your Christmas Presents With Pretty Satin Bows
I know that this may seem really sad but I absolutely love wrapping Christmas presents and would quite happily make this a full time job if it were possible. I always like to get cosied up with a cute Christmas film on in the background or some Christmas songs, make a gingerbread latte and lose myself in wrapping for a few hours. I bought some really pretty white and silver snowflake wrapping paper from Asda and also this gorgeous glittery prosecco paper from Matalan and accessorised them with pink satin bow ribbons. I also picked up these sweet little pink unicorn gift bags from The Range too!

Visit A Christmas Market
There’s something about visiting a Christmas market that just makes you feel all cosy and toasty inside like a little cinnamon bun and even more festive. I usually like to visit Edinburgh’s Christmas Market as it has lots of beautiful quaint little stalls and also does the yummiest Nutella crepes stuffed with cream, mini marshmallows and drizzled with hot Belgian chocolate sauce.

Do Some Festive Baking
If you’re feeling especially creative over the festive season, there’s nothing nicer than coming home to the smell of sweet Christmas treats baking in the kitchen. The scent of vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg always makes me feel so Christmassy and cosy and you get to enjoy your delicious goodies after too, so what could be better? I really fancy having a go at these Christmassy Crinkle Cookies as the icing sugar looks like dusted snow but you could also try Bailey’s brownies or sweet little gingerbread men finished with pink bows. Last year, I also made some little pastel Christmas cupcakes with little snowmen, pink and white candy canes, snowy houses, Christmas trees, pearl stockings and little knitted mittens complete with snowflakes.

Decorate Your Home For Christmas
I actually put my tree up at the end of November this year as I was far too excited for Christmas and couldn’t contain it any longer! I have a really lovely snowy flocked Christmas tree and I love to decorate it with a mixture of pretty baby pink, white and silver baubles and sparkly decorations. I also bought the cutest little fairylights in the shape of twinkling stars to hang along my living room window and for me, there’s nothing better than enjoying sitting with the Christmas tree lights on. I also treated myself to some gorgeous pink satin bows to add to my tree and I’m planning on writing a little blog post all about the other lovely festive items I’ve purchased recently too.

Cosy Up With A Hot Chocolate And Watch Christmas Movies
I pretty much find an excuse to make hot chocolates throughout all of the winter months but on the lead-up to Christmas, it seems to be even more acceptable to snuggle up on the sofa and pop on a Christmas film. Some of my favourites are The Holiday, The Sweetest Christmas, The Holiday Tree and I recently watched The Princess Switch on Netflix which was such a cute little movie!

Have A Girly Christmas Shopping Day
If you’ve not quite finished your Christmas shopping yet, why not make it into something fun and have a little girly day with one of your friends? I particularly love popping into The White Company and Anthropologie who always have some beautiful gift ideas at this time of the year and you can treat yourself to a little glass of prosecco or a coffee for a much-needed relax. Last week, I actually went out for pink champagne cocktails and a festive afternoon tea which was the loveliest way to spend a Sunday afternoon in the crazy few weeks before Christmas!

Try A New Festive Coffee Or Hot Chocolate
I get really excited every year for the release of the limited edition Christmas drinks from Starbucks and Costa, and whilst I’m usually a cappuccino girl at heart, I can’t resist something a little sweeter and naughty at this time of the year. I love gingerbread and toffee nut lattes but I think my favourite one this year has to be the Costa hazelnut praline latte with cream which tastes like a Ferrero Rocher. Plus the little Christmas cups are adorable!

Have A Princess Pink Sparkly Bubble Bath
I can’t be the only girl that finds a festive bath even more special as it’s an excuse for candyfloss scented bubbles and lots of sparkles, can I? Taking some time out for a little pamper is so important at this time of the year to relax and make the most of the Christmas period. I’m looking forward to having a pink bubble bath on Christmas Eve complete with my Lush Magic Wand bubble bar, Disney Aurora face mask and a creamy white hot chocolate!

Visit Peggy Porschen’s Pink Winter Cake Parlour
I was lucky enough to visit the Peggy Porschen cake parlour in London a couple of years ago and I fell in love with the pastel pink decor and heavenly cakes and cupcakes. It’s done up like a dreamy winter wonderland complete with white poinsettias, pretty wreaths and beautiful sparkly decorations. If you live a little closer than I do, I’d really recommend popping in for a snowflake cappuccino and a slice of Pink Strawberries & Champagne cake or you could take home a cute sugar cookie!

Treat Yourself To A New Festive Candle
There’s something about the winter season that makes me want to light all of my candles and get as snuggly as possible so it’s always lovely to treat yourself to some new festive candles. I picked up another Snowflake Cookie, Spiced White Cocoa and the limited edition Sugar Frost Christmas from Yankee Candle and I can’t wait to make my living room smell like a sugary sweet festive bakery. I also love The White Company’s Winter candle which has notes of cinnamon and orange and smells really spicy and I’d also love to try their White Christmas candle too.

Buy Some New Christmas Eve Pyjamas
One of the nicest things about the winter season is being able to cuddle up in your pyjamas on a cold and miserable afternoon and I always love to treat myself to a new pair of pyjamas for Christmas Eve. I spotted this pink and silver Winter Wonderland pair on the Matalan website and thought they’d be perfect and they’d also make a lovely gift too!

Go For A Snowy Woodland Walk
My last girly suggestion is getting all bundled up and going for a woodland walk through the snow. I think everywhere just looks so much prettier when it has a dusting of icing sugar snow over the top of it and delicate little icicles hanging from the tree branches. I love wearing my pink swan pom pom hat, ruffled scarf and bow Ugg boots and you can reward yourself with a marshmallow hot chocolate when you come in out of the cold!

I really hope that this has given you a few cute little ideas! What do you love to do over the festive season?
